The design director Ms. Kuo was inspired by the books she read during the epidemic. The book “Voyages of Discovery” contains biological illustrations from the London Museum of National Art in the 17th century. In the early days of civilized exploration, there were no recording tools such as mobile phones and cameras. Thus, biologists had to depict the animals and plants they saw by themselves every time when they visited a deserted jungle island to complete the illustrated records.
They are not only explorers, but also artists and writers. They passed on the precious illustrated books depicting the world to offspring and brought them back to their own countries. The multi identities of biologists are so attractive that it inspires the birth of S/S.
“Voyages of Discovery” is like a metaphor for a new life. After the epidemic, we have to find a new attitude and direction in life, just like the spirit of a curious explorer, and set out again with the feeling of discovering.
